That’s precisely why The Surrey Spa, inside the newly renovated Surrey hotel under Corinthia’s stewardship, feels like such a welcome reprieve- a refined sanctuary dedicated to true calm.
The spa mirrors the hotel’s residential-style elegance, with interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio that favor soft lighting, layered textures, and soothing neutral tones. Its boutique scale is part of the appeal. With only two treatment rooms, the experience feels exclusive, discreet, and highly personalized. Don’t be surprised if you arrive and find yourself with the entire place to yourself- I did for most of my nearly two-hour visit.
The intimate scale lends itself to exceptional service. I had a spa attendant to myself who offered tea, water, light bites, and my preferred pick- champagne.
A partnership with the storied French skincare brand Sisley Paris makes the facials a highlight, but the wellness circuit is equally worth exploring. It includes a steam room, sauna, and experience shower, though the salt tepidarium is the standout. Heated loungers crafted from pink Himalayan salt create a soothing, meditative environment designed to support respiratory health, encourage better sleep, and provide detoxifying benefits. I lingered longer than planned, feeling my tension gradually dissolve.
An outdoor patio rounds out the experience, offering space for yoga, stretching, or a quiet moment in fresh air.

I booked the 90-minute Surrey Custom Massage, and it delivered exactly what my tension-prone muscles needed. My therapist blended deep tissue work with reflexology, stretching, and shiatsu, adjusting pressure as I needed it.The treatment was deeply therapeutic yet luxurious, leaving me looser, more limber, and fully relaxed.
